Have you ever been to a place, at first sight of it, can say nothing except some chosen foul words. Well, St.Kilda is one of them. For me anyway, coz I love rolling waves and ridiculously high winds. In Penang, we have rolling waves – but they go “whheeeesh”, wheeeesh….. instead of WHOOSH!! WHOOSH!!. bo siang wan and don’t talk about wind tho. When first started shooting, it was just really nice adrenaline-pumped experience with the glowing yellowish-Bersih 2.0-inspired-sun, seagulls talking to you, a very lenglui in Yve (still cannot pronounce her name) and a “cool breeze”. There is a smally colony of penguins living off the rocks off St.Kilda – i was hoping to spot a few… but alas, someone forgot delivery – they all had to go out and hunt for food. Dang!! Not a single penguin at home.
\nProgressing thru the shoot, the “cool breeze” turned into “very cold”, then “very very cold”, then “are u crazy? cold”… and the wind suddenly didn’t help, by bringing down a few degrees. Yowzers. When it’s all said and done, with a few pelts of rain coming down, my left fingers was frozen, my right was ok tho (click click helps).
