Bryan & Vanessa

This is one wedding portraiture session I’ve been really really wanting to explore for a long time. It’s a reverse-gear approach to the usual poses – in which eye-contact, emotions is kept to the minimal with freedom of coloration and almost mannequin-like body language. Bryan and Vanessa gave the green light for this, so with shooting buddies, TY and hko, we really had a blast trying out something a bit different. Do give your feedback on this, ya. The couple was so easy to direct, with the groom, Bryan, had really no problem at all giving the cool look. Amid a few laughing moments, Vanessa too, was so easy to get into “posing” mode. Under contrary to the pics, it was really a HOT HOT humid afternoon when the quick shooting around the gardens of Rasa Sayang Resort was done. Admired the couple for battling the heat and yet looking cool.

As the dinner proper took place, the cool looks suddenly turned into “happy” mode, reli happy mode – a truly wonderful dinner with lots of singing and esp. Vanessa giving the attendees a sweet chinese number with her sweet sweet voice!! too bad no video lo… she really possess amazing vocals, my gosh.
