Every once a while – there comes along a wedding that is has all the necessities plus more, much more. This particular wedding has the word, L-O-U-D, written all over it and unbashly shows. Loud as not only in scale and spectrum – it IS literally LOUD with firecrackers deafening the proceedings all the way. With support from practically the whole kampung (village), you just know this is not going to be a your usual Saturday ceremony. This is wedding……. on caffeine.

It starts of rather uneventful as the skies threatened to pour above

(above) the crowd began to swell as the gong started drumming.

The groom riding his way to fetch his bride on a Ferrari, well… it HAS a horse, right? And hopefully don’t start prancing. And (below) shouting for more firecrackers to be lit. Luckily the horse, being a former racehorse, is quite cool with people and loud stuff. We had to share our photography space with a number of reporters and a couple of neighbours, all 50 or so!!

It was really really FUN experience during in his march, with all the people joining in, waving and shouting – with our groom doing likewise. Better than Merdeka Parade.

(above) Not even a foot injury is gonna stop this uncle from watching – while his dog ain’t too happy about sharing animal space with a horse.
(below) A looooooooooong firecracker at the bride house is lit to ward of evil spirits (and camera aunty too) prior to the groom entering her house. Not in picture, is our horse, taking his breakfast on some grasses.

The bridal sedan is rotated for some reason…

… not enough rotating it seems, it is now the couple’s turn to rotate around the sedan 3 times.

more pyro at the groom’s house……. evil begone.

Before the bride alight the sedan, the groom had to kick the sedan. And the kick has to, at least, move the sedan… so the groom went for a Bruce Lee inspired side-kick… thank goodness he has a good aim.
