Being a first timer in Bali, what i saw in blogs n travelling shows were pristine beaches, sunsets, excellent handcrafts and active volcanoes but what they failed to mentioned the traffic jams. kakaaka. yes, there are traffic jams in dream island too. The roads are pretty small with lots of motorcycles – and they go fast!! What was evident is that there are very very skilled drivers, only honk gently when needed. Busy roads aside.. upon reaching your destination, it is awe awe awe all the way. Siew Tien n Kok Hou took us to eat babi guling and later drank amazing aloe vera juice at Blue Point. The vantage point can see blue seas and cliffs. Me loves cliffs. We later took the “orangy” photos down at the beach.
The next day, we shot over at the location of Julia Robert’s “Eat Pray Love” hotel, Kalamandu Resort at Ubud.. which is also the theme of this trip and the hotel we stayed in. I shot videos instead, and the video “My Hands” can be found HERE. Then it was over to the sumptuous breakfast at the hotel before proceeding to the beach where the video was shot. Night time, and another round of “EAT” comes in… Bebek Bengil (Dirty Duck)… waaaah, this duck is very ho-liao!! crunchy n nice. Even the bones were not spared. The facade of the restaurant hides a very BIG interior and BEAUTIFUL as well, makes some of the landscaping in Malaysia’s hotel a crying shame. We ate till the last light left the rice field in darkness. wonderful.

OK. That’s a lot of eating!! hahaha. As if this trip is like a food blog. Eaaaaniway, let us take a look at what the LOVE of Siew Tien and Kok Hou, the most important ingredient, left us with. enjoy.
