“…Our last summer
Morning croissants
Living for the day, worries far away”

These are the same feelings I had when I was watching the amazing Mamma Mia : The Musical in the acoustically superior Dewan Budaya in KL. The wonderful smell of croissants aside, I was really drawn into the musical world created by Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus, Abba’s founders…… again. After almost-propaganda-like listening to their songs in my father’s Volksvagen during my single-digit years – they have found its way rooted in my system – and to see it LIVE was simply awe-inspiring!!! Being a first timer in musicals and singing to the songs that I knew was so fun and engaging. The play had more songs that the movie “Mamma Mia” excluded. All are well inserted into the storyline. In fact “Our Last Summer” was alwez under the Abba blanket of songs which evaded me last time, the movie made me love that song for it’s simple happy lyrics and no-frills delivery. My new favorite.

I sat waaay back at the last row on the Ground Floor – so I was up doing my freaky dance moves and clapping even before the encore as I was blocking nobody. haha. I didn’t sit at the same seat as my girlfriend but I could see her dancing away like a drunkard in the middle rows d. haha.

Will surely be a weekend which will remain in memory for a long while. There’s nothing like the first time. haha.
